CHARLES CHAMBERLAIN
PRESIDENT
Mr. Chamberlain founded TigerIP in 2018 and currently serves as its President. He has over 25 years of experience in IP asset monetization, funding and investments, litigation consulting, and dispute resolutions. He has directed in the structuring and advisement of over $250 million dollars in transactions and for ten (10) straight years (2015 to 2024) has been nominated by his peers and included in the IAM Strategy 300 list of the World’s Leading IP Strategists.
In 2024, IAM selected Charles Chamberlain of TigerIP Ventures as one of IAM's Strategy 300 Global Leaders 2024.
Throughout Mr. Chamberlain’s career, he has been an advocate for the protection of Constitutional rights associated with an inventor's intellectual property and discoveries, and bringing these innovations to the global market. He provides leadership, strategic direction and execution in the areas of finance, IP-backed start up funding and development of patent monetization projects through patent enforcement campaigns, strategic transactions and arms-length negotiations. His clients have included Global Fortune 50 companies as well as inventors and owners of valuable patent portfolios. Mr. Chamberlain has in-depth experience in managing and advising clients on IP monetization strategies, working through IPRs & re-examination proceedings, and takes the lead role in negotiating IP financial settlements congruent with client expectations. In addition, he has consulted on and attended numerous depositions, Markman Hearings, Federal court trials and ITC proceedings.
Mr. Chamberlain earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance, with a focus on international business and pre-medical studies. He graduated summa cum laude from Georgia State University, was recipient of the Georgia State University Faculty Scholarship Plaque Award, and was an active member of the Golden Key International Honour Society.
Prior to starting TigerIP Ventures, Mr. Chamberlain was a founding member of IPinvestments Group and was Partner and SVP of Patent Transactions & Licensing. He was responsible for client development; evaluating patent portfolios; strategic monetization consulting; creating, implementing and managing complex patent enforcement programs; and negotiating patent licensing and sales transactions.
Charlie, began his career in Atlanta, Georgia with InteCap, Inc. (acquired by Charles River Associates) and ICAP, both litigation consulting firms focused on complex dispute resolutions related to intangible assets, IP valuations, royalty rate analysis and audits, forensic accounting, and expert witness support for complex IP litigation. During his tenures, he worked directly with the Department of Justice in the accounting fraud investigations surrounding Enron Corporation; in addition, he assisted in damage valuations and expert report preparations regarding many of the Savings & Loan Banks affected by Congressional passing of FIRREA.
He and his wife, Stephanie, and their four children: Anniston, Charles, Evangeline, and Selah are members of Providence Church and live just north of Atlanta. Charlie is also a musician and enjoys family trips, cooking, camping, hiking, fishing, all water & beach activities, and reading a good book.
